God is my strength. Vision is His gift.
I’ve mentioned I was a chronic insomniac as a child.
The worst part, for me, wasn’t a fear of the dark. Or the monsters I was sure were hiding beneath my bed. It was the loneliness. A feeling that I was the only one in the world up at that hour.
Before the internet, or cell phones, there wasn’t a method of reaching out across time and space in the middle of the night. So there was just 10-year old me. Alone and scared. Mostly of my own thoughts.
Lesson 42 reminds me that I am never alone, as my childish mind believed. That I never have to depend on my own strength or vision to get me through a dark night of the soul. That any time I feel isolated or alone in my grief, or anger, or desperation for something different-Source is waiting to deliver the vision of the All-That-Is.
And the BESTEST gift this Vision can give is the support and love we gift one-another. With a smile. With a thread of encouragement. And with the strength of our light which is innately ours to give. In Every. Single. Encounter we choose to bring our Divine selves too.
My invitation? The next time you feel lonely. The next time you feel afraid. Stretch your vision just a liiitle bit more, if you are able, and remember that the light of love is just a heartbeat away. Touch the blush of dawn that lives inside your Divine self. Bursting through any night of darkness in light.
Not by doing. But just by seeing the love that lives within all.
