Bird is the Word-ACIM Review III-Lesson #117

God, being Love, is also happiness./ I seek but what belongs to me in truth.

Yesterday I was bird watching.

Yup. I said it. Bird watching.

My partner & I were at a lovely lake with huge trees. The birds were joyfully singing to one another all around me. And the place had some binoculars. So, I thought I’d give it a go.

Bird watching.

After a little while I noticed two cutie-patooties sitting side-by-side, perched in the tree together. One bird was plucking a berry off the tree branch next to it and giving the berry immediately to the other. Then, as the second bird had received, that bird would go to the branch next to it and pluck another berry for the first bird. Back and forth they went. Over and over again. Feeding one another.

Them’s some smart birds.

What these two birds and Lesson 117 have to teach me is-Love is happiness. You may not know this, but birds can actually fly. FLY I tell you. Like away in the sky. Any time they choose. But these two sweet birds chose to be near one another. Grounded on a branch. Absorbed in their love of giving to one another.

They were completely content. Uber happy. And they gave as much as they received. They were living their personal moment of joy. And they were accepting all the love and joy that life can give.

We can learn a lot from birds.

We can choose to fly around, accomplishing our to-do lists. Or we can love and accept the love that is waiting for us in the moment. The complete joy and happiness that comes with being present. It belongs to us in the truth. And it is the legacy of the All-That-Is.

Happy Receiving Day Dear Friends! Namaste.

It's amazing and beautiful, what can happen if we just stay in the moment and savor it. Anna & I stopped what we were both busy with yesterday, when we heard "our song" (The Rose) play on Pandora. And... we danced in our livingroom at 4:30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon! Aaaaaah, love!
