My thougts are images which I hae made.
There is a tenant in New Thought that states, Our thoughts create our reality. I often argue this has some scientific basis. That we have tons of thoughts & bits of information that come at us every day (to the tune of 11 million per second, according to some experts). But we can only process so much (closer to 50 bits).
So we naturally select certain thoughts that resonate with what we have seen in the past. The ones that affirm the bias of what we have seen before. It’s only natural. We expect to see what we understand from the past. Any thought outside of this paradigm seems threatening because it is unknown (aka the old analogy that the devil you know is better than the one you don’t).
Lesson 15 supports these thoughts of attachment to what we have previously made:
Step 1. We have a thought.
Step 2. We have an image of these thoughts in our mind.
Step 3. We go out and look for images in our reality that match these images.
So how do we break the cycle of ‘more of the same’ in favor of a better vision of the future?
We choose again. This time consciously. We start with a simple awareness that what we have chosen to see is not always the true reality of All-That-Is. That there are other images and opportunities which live, just beyond our current awareness of what is.
And we allow that there could be more.
Much more.
Some amazing awesomeness (thank you Pam Grout) we can experience when we remind ourselves that all we think we see are only images we have made from a limited history. And then we open ourselves to the endlessness of what could be. The rainbow that has always lived, just beyond our line of vision. Waiting for us to take a look. To find the gold that is always waiting for us when we open ourselves up to limitless possibilities.
Today I invite you to take a look.
Just a peak.
And to experience the brilliance that is waiting. The amazing life you were born to live once you are separated from any images made in limitation.
Welcome to the life you were born to live Dear Light Chasers. I can’t wait to see what you create!
